Surferstape. Never miss a session.
For travelling surfers, stickers and tapes are the best solution to quickly fix a ding. But we were never satisfied with what we found on the market. So we researched all kinds of material, tested it in tropical waters and cold river waves in the Alps for almost two years. The result is Surferstape. We hope you will love it as much as we do.
We asked surfers around the world about their experiences, solutions and requirements. Stickers and tapes are the quickest way, but not always at hand. Some use wax, but that makes repair afterwards difficult. Sun curing putty requires sun and looks ugly.
We received hints and product samples and found out that there are countless tapes and stickers available. From cheap and ridiculously expensive tapes to board short stickers to alloy tape. But either the material is not stretchable enough, not repositionable, bonds with the surfboard or peels off due to cheap glue. What we hated most were expensive tapes where the glue melted in the sun and we had a mess in our backpack.
No solution was really perfect for protecting our surfboards. So we started the Surferstape project on a southern beach in France and produced it in the Alps.
We are looking forward to hear about your experiences and to get your feedback.
